(Ofsted Report 2009) Manuden Pre-School is privately owned and is situated in the lovely rural setting of the village of Manuden on the outskirts of Stansted. Surrounded by green fields and rolling farmland, we have operated the pre-school from the school hall within Manuden Primary School since 1995. This has enabled us to offer our children a full range of indoor and outdoor developmental activities which aim to provide them with key skills and abilities which will serve them in their next stages of education. Important Notice: We are currently fully subscribed for the Spring/Summer terms but will be accepting further intake for September 2012. Please contact Anne Brown (manuden.preschool@virgin.net) well before September as spaces may become available sooner and visits can be arranged so that everything is in place before September. Operating Times During Term-time:
Our pre-school is registered on the Childcare Register and the Early Years Register, and provides care for up to twenty-seven children aged 2 1/2 to under five years. Our pre-school can support children with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, and those who have English as an additional language. We employ six members of staff and we have the benefit of two volunteer helpers who are both active members of the school and of the local community. The majority of children attending Manuden Pre-School go on to attend Manuden Primary School, which enjoys the highest ranking KS2 results in the country as of December 2010. Close ties with the school enables the pre-school children to transition easily to the primary school. "Parents believe that transition into the school is seamless because staff and children already know one another well." (Ofsted Report 2009) Our relatively small pre-school enjoys a strong community spirit which gives our children a sense of belonging and builds their confidence - a skill that will last a lifetime.
